Phoenix star Sarpreet Singh might be the first soccer player of Indian descent to sign with German powerhouse Bayern Munich

Attacking midfielder Sarpreet Singh could be the first player of Indian descent and the first New Zealander to play for a leading German club.
According to reports, Singh could be signed by European giant Bayern Munich where he would play in the third-tier competition of the German league system.
20-year-old Wellington Phoenix star Singh was raised in Manukau, Auckland and is a Onehunga Sports product. Singh has been a regular on the New Zealand U20 team and played a crucial role in propelling New Zealand to the round of 16 in the U20 World cup.
Though not a ‘done deal’, Singh is likely to be signed for Bayern Munich’s reserve team.
It is worth mentioning that Singh’s Wellington Phoenix teammate Roy Krishna also announced his move to Indian Super League(ISL) team ATK recently.
