“I feel blessed and lucky to see Aditya Gadhavi perform live in Auckland. He is the number one artist in the Gujarati industry, and now I know why. It was a terrific experience," exclaimed an ecstatic Radhika Dave, encapsulating the public sentiment after Gadhvi’s recent concert in the city.

Aucklanders were treated to an unforgettable night of music and culture as the reigning star of Gujarati music graced the stage at Mahatma Gandhi Centre on August 26.

The performance marked his inaugural appearance in New Zealand and Australia, launching his highly anticipated Australasia tour.

Organised by Swapnil Shah of Pranshi Group and Vinay Mehta, the concert exceeded expectations, drawing a crowd of more than 1,500 enthusiasts who gathered to be a part of the high-energy event in their best cultural attires.

The venue buzzed with cheerful anticipation, and the air was thick with the vibrancy of Gujarati melodies, such as Sharato Lagu', 'Hellaro', 'Love Ni Bhavai' and ‘Gotilo’, even before the artist stepped onto the stage.

"The crowd was so cheerful and energetic. It was infectious. I've never seen such enthusiasm at a concert before. Tickets were snapped up within a fortnight of their release, leaving many eager fans disappointed," shared Swapnil.

The event, which was presented by Prem Gounder, was a true celebration of culture, bringing together a diverse crowd that resonated with the beats of Gujarati rhythms. The performance took on a more profound significance for the Kiwi-Indian community.

“Maintaining our cultural ties outside of India is crucial for Kiwi-Indians. These events help us pass on our heritage to the younger generation and create a sense of belonging," said Shah, reflecting the sentiment shared by many. The event provided entertainment and served as a platform for cultural preservation and celebration.

Gadhavi's ability to connect with his audience was undeniable, and his music served as a bridge that united people from different backgrounds.

Rekhaben Parekh, another attendee, said, "The venue resonated with the sounds of Aditya Gadhavi's music, creating a truly magical ambience. Gadhavi's melodious renditions forged a connection with the audience that transcended language and distance.

“Each note strengthened the connection between the artist and the audience, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone present."

Thanking the audience for their overwhelming love, the 29-year-old performer said, "This concert is a dream come true for me. I am overwhelmed by the energy of Aucklanders. It was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a more vibrant audience."
