‘Raataan Lambiyan’: Jubin Nautiyal lights up the night

It was an unforgettable night where souls were touched, hearts were stirred, and Kiwi-Indians felt the power of music. Singer Jubin Nautiyal set the stage on fire during his much-anticipated concert in Auckland last week.

More than 4,000 fans from across the city and beyond eagerly made their way into the arena, their hearts racing with anticipation for the musical treat that awaited them. 

Organised by Blackstone Productions and Big Brother Productions, the concert took place on June 24, 2023, at The Trusts Arena in the western suburb of Henderson.

As the evening sun set across the horizon, the venue lit up, creating an enchanting atmosphere that mirrored the audience's excitement. 

Dressed in a black leather coat teamed with a blue denim and a green turban, Nautiyal, with his charming smile and melodious voice, brought the stage to life, revealing a mesmerising set up adorned with elaborate decorations and an array of talented musicians. 

One of the attendees, Azleen, said, "Thank you, Jubin, for creating such magical moments for us. We had goosebumps as soon as he started singing. There was so much heart and soul in his performance. I loved seeing his passion as his face lit up when he started singing. He connected with his audience as soon as he stepped on stage."

Jubin's incredible vocal range and effortless transitions between notes left the audience awestruck. Cheers and applause filled the air after every song, the crowd enthusiastically expressing their admiration for the gifted artist who was performing in New Zealand for the first time. 

Jubin’s playlist perfectly blended his most popular tracks, including romantic ballads, foot-tapping numbers, and soul-stirring melodies. With each song, including ‘Raataan Lambiyan’ and ‘Tujhe Kitna Chahein Aur Hum’, he transported the audience into a realm where music became a universal language, transcending barriers of culture and language.

The audience swayed to the rhythm, their hearts filled with joy and love. Jubin's stage presence was magnetic, drawing everyone into his world of music and emotions.

Another audience member, Josalin Singh, said, “Jubin’s show was amazing. My family and I had an amazing time filled with fun and emotions. We will wait for his next concert.”

Speaking after the concert, an elated fan, Ramika Seth, said, "It was an experience of a lifetime! Jubin's voice is sheer magic, and his performance exceeded our expectations. Auckland will forever cherish this concert."

As the concert reached its crescendo, the 34-year-old took a moment to express his gratitude. He thanked the audience for their unwavering support and for making his dreams come true. He said, “Auckland, you were beautiful. Thanks for being such a great audience. It was one of the best events of my life."

The concert ended on a high note, leaving the audience craving for more yet savouring the beautiful memories they had just created.

The organisers, too, were pleased with the response. One of the organisers, Baljit Grewal, told The Indian Weekender, "The response was overwhelming. It was great to see people appreciating the high production value of our show. The response has encouraged us to do more such events. Every single person enjoyed the event. It was memorable for us and for Jubin too. Such events keep us and our community attached to our roots and culture."
