With the fast-paced nature of modern life, it’s not uncommon for individuals to feel overwhelmed, stressed, and unsure of how to move forward. More and more people seek guidance and support in achieving their personal and professional goals.

This is where a life coach comes in - someone who can help you identify your strengths, set realistic goals, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles and achieve success.

Fariya Naseem is a certified life coach who has positively impacted the lives of numerous people and has helped them improve their thought patterns, increase their self-esteem, break old negative habits, and reduce fear and anxiety.

Fariya runs ‘Life Coaching With Fariya’ and conducts individual and group coaching. She also conducts target one-to-one coaching sessions to find a solution for current personal or professional situations.

Her coaching sessions have enabled her clients to live a pain-free and guilt-free life and have given them the tools to develop a positive outlook on their personal and professional lives.

Fariya is an Australia and New Zealand Coaching Alliance (ANZCAL) Certified Professional Level Life Coach. She is also certified in Breakthrough Coaching, Abundance Coaching, Mindfulness and Leadership.

Speaking about the need for life coaching, Fariya says, “Life coaching builds the needed internal and practical skills to support lasting change that aims to improve mindfulness, self-awareness, self-motivation, resilience, optimism, and self-efficacy. As a life coach, I deal with large and small challenges, reinforce values, use past successes and non-successes, and build on the opportunities.”

“If you are feeling stuck in your personal or professional life and want to enhance your mental well-being and set achievable goals, then working with a life coach could be the perfect solution for you. Life coaches use various tools and techniques to streamline your life and help you move forward on your path with confidence and clarity,” Fariya says.

With a degree in Electrical Engineering, certification as an Oracle Developer, and degrees in Bachelor of Education and Post Grad Diploma in Teaching in Learning (Secondary), Fariya has a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a fully registered teacher, she has taught Physics for 10 years in New Zealand.

Fariya’s scientific background gives her a unique perspective as a life coach, allowing her to offer research-backed life coaching tools and techniques to help you achieve your goals.

Fariya says, “As a life coach, I have worked with many clients who were finding it hard to balance their busy lives and invest in their well-being. They often felt lonely, deprived, and unhappy and needed someone to help them boost their self-worth, confidence, and mental clarity. Others have had difficult experiences in the past, such as being bullied at work or struggling to maintain healthy relationships. These clients often feel trapped and powerless, not knowing how to stand up for themselves or break free from the cycle of emotional abuse.”

Fariya focuses on mindset coaching. “Having a positive mindset is crucial to achieving success and living a fulfilling life. Our mindset shapes our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours, which in turn, influence our outcomes. I specialise in helping people shift from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset and overcome limiting beliefs that may be holding them back.

Her one-to-one coaching sessions usually are from 60 to 90 minutes and target one problem area the client is currently facing.

“During the one-to-one target coaching sessions, we take a step-by-step approach to identify the root cause of the issue, and then work together to develop a personalised success plan tailored to their unique situation,” Fariya says.

She also offers group sessions for corporates and businesses, which are 2 to 3-hour workshops conducted at the workplaces.

“These sessions cover a variety of topics, including improving mindset at the workplace, communication skills, and creating a safe and healthy environment for all,” says Fariya.

The group sessions are designed to be fun and highly interactive without any personal information being shared. Team members work together to complete various coaching exercises and engaging activities.

Fariya highly recommends group life coaching sessions for business owners as a valuable tool to enhance their team’s overall productivity and well-being.

When asked about measuring the success of life coaching sessions, Fariya explains, “The coaching sessions are highly engineered and customised services. We typically begin by focusing on the problem areas, utilising a range of life coaching tools and strategies to uncover the underlying issues. One way to measure success is by observing how clients start to perceive their situations and how their professional lives gain momentum.”

She adds, “Success is gauged by the positive transformations experienced by clients, both in terms of their mindset and tangible achievements. I treasure the incredible and humbling feedback I receive from clients. They share their inspiring stories, such as transitioning from loneliness to becoming owners of successful businesses; or transforming from unhappiness and low self-worth to nurturing fulfilling lifelong relationships.”

When asked about her advice to those seeking life coaching, Fariya responds, “Don’t wait, just jump in!! You will never regret connecting with a professionally certified life coach. The learning will change your life forever.”

Highlighting the importance of seeking expert guidance in various aspects of our lives, Fariya says, “We go to the dentist, doctor, or hearing specialist. We take our car to a mechanic. We seek a builder if we’re renovating. Likewise, we must turn to experts when it comes to our mindset, decisions, and problems.”

She clarifies the distinction between life coaching and counselling, stating, “Life coaching is still relatively new in our Indian culture, and some people mistakenly perceive it as similar to counselling sessions. However, it is quite different. Coaching does not provide therapy, nor is it a medical service. Rather, it is a professional partnership where we work together towards your professional, personal, and financial success.”

Clients have the option to connect with Fariya either online via Zoom or in person.
