AIAI greets community
Since the community has gone through a relatively rough time in 2022, The year-end is all about hopes and hoping that the new year brings joy and happiness to everyone.
Well-known community leader Dhansukh Lal, President of Auckland Indian Association Inc (AIAI) President Dhansukh Lal has also addressed the Indian community on the occasion of Christmas and New Year.
He said, “On behalf of the AIAI and the entire membership, I wish you all a wonderful Christmas, safe Holidays and a Happy and prosperous New Year.”
He also revealed that AIAI had a very successful 2022, thanks to enthusiastic participation from its members and the Indian community.
Revealing achievements of AIAI in the past year, he said, “After two long years, we managed to have a successful Navratri at Mahama Gandhi Centre. In September, New Zealand Indian Central Association (NZICA) recognised our association with a Commemorative Award for more than 100 years of service to the wider community. AIAI is the oldest organisation of Indians in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We were also awarded The Community of the Year Award at the Indian Weekender Hall of Fame Awards Night.”
