Forum Films, the leading distributor of films from the Indian subcontinent to New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, recently became instrumental in bringing more than a hundred senior citizens of Auckland together to enjoy the universally praised film Uunchai. Organised in association with Gujarati Samaj, the screening was held at Event cinema, St Lukes on December 5.
Uunchai is a Hindi-language adventure drama film written and directed by acclaimed writer-director Sooraj Barjatya. Produced by Rajshri Productions and distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films(YRF), the film features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta and Sarika.
The story revolves around three aged friends who take a trek to the Everest Base Camp, to fulfil their fourth friend Bhupen's last wish. In this inspiring tale, the simple trek turns into a personal, emotional, and spiritual journey as they overcome their physical limitations and discover what freedom truly means.
