Michael Wood new Immigration Minister

Minister of Transport and MP for Mt Roskill Michael Wood has been made Minister of Immigration after the sitting Minister of Immigration Kris Fafooi expressed his desire to retire from politics. 

This was announced by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in today's post cabinet press conference. 

Kris Faafoi has served as Minister of  Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Associate Immigration, Emergency Management, Customs, Broadcasting and Media Communications, Government Digital Services, Associate Housing, Immigration and Justice. 

Dubbed as a "minor reshuffle," of the cabinet, Prime Minister Ardern announced changes pertaining to five Ministers taking up new portfolios. 

Kiwi-Indian MP Priyanca Radhakrishnan enters into Cabinet

Kiwi-Indian MP Priyanca Radhakrishnan who was hitherto a Minister in the government outside of Cabinte has been promoted to become a Minister in the cabinet picking up the portfolio of Associate Workplace Relations and Safety.
