Kiwi Indian Adithya Ashok in the squad for ICC U19 Cricket World Cup
Kiwi Indian bowler known for his quick wicket-taking ability in matches has cemented his position in the U19 team of the New Zealand for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup to be held in January 2020.
*New Zealand Under-19 men's coach Paul Wiseman is forecasting a challenging few months for our young cricketers, after naming a 15-strong squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa early next year.
The squad boasts players from all six Major Associations and will travel to South Africa for a warm-up tournament starting on January 3, before the World Cup officially begins for them on January 18.
Adithya earlier this year was also selected for the U19 squad for New Zealand to play against Bangladesh where he consistently gave a good performance.
After a "highly competitive" U19 National Tournament held in Lincoln over the past two weeks, Wiseman said narrowing the squad down to just 15 names was an unenviable challenge for him and the selection group.

"There will be pressure at certain times throughout their time in South Africa and finding out how they react to that pressure will be valuable learning for their future cricketing endeavours."
Playing for Auckland UN-17 Boys in January 2019, Adithya had shown exemplary performance and was awarded bowler of the tournament.
"It was a match-winning performance by Adithya, which showed great control," Assistant Coach Matt Cowie of Auckland U17 Boys had then said.
