Blackcaps spinner Ish Sodhi has tied the knot with his fiancé Angelina Van Roosemalen at the private ceremony at Supreme Sikh Society Gurudawara in Takanini today.
The matrimony was held in the presence of approximately 100 people, including parents, brides’ family, extended family members and guests.
Ish Sodhi’s full name is Inderbir Singh Sodhi; his family migrated from Ludhiana, Punjab with him when he was four years old and received his early education from Papatoetoe High School in South Auckland.
In an interview with Hindustan Times earlier this year and the 26-year-old said two ceremonies had been planned- a church wedding and a Gurudwara wedding, which was held earlier today.
Leg spinner Ish Sodhi made his international debut in 2013 when he played his first test against Bangladesh, and played his first ODI in 2015 against Zimbabwe and played for Northern Districts in domestic cricket. He reached no. 1 ranking in T20I bowlers in January 2018 jumping from No. 10 from the previous year.
