Karan Johar becomes a dad

Director, producer, actor, anchor, author and now a father? As per some recent reports, Karan Johar became a single father of a baby girl and a baby boy via surrogacy. The twins were born on February 7 in Andheri (West) at Masrani Hospital.
The reports quote BMC officer Dr Padmaja Keskar confirming the birth registrations of the kids on March 3. The registration details do not mention the name of the mother. Babies have been named Yash and Roohi.
He wears many hats—director, producer, actor, talk show host, emcee and author. But Karan Johar’s latest production is the one dearest to his heart. Last month Johar, 44, became a single father via surrogacy. He now has twins —a girl and a boy — and has named them Roohi and Yash. Yash is his late father’s name, and Roohi is a rearrangement of his mother’s name Hiroo.
44-year old Karan Johar has expressed his desire in his books and many interviews to have kids saying, "I have a nurturing quality in me...I am very strongly paternal. My paternal instincts need to be acted upon. My love needs a release. I love everyone."
Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao also had a baby via IVF surrogacy. Shahrukh Khan also opted for surrogacy and welcomed baby AbRam. Tusshar Kapoor is the other single father who had his son, Laksshya, via surrogacy in June last year. We congratulate Karan Johar and wish him all the best.
