Two Remain In Hospital Following Auckland Altercation

Two people are still in hospital after an altercation in the Auckland suburb of Takanini on Friday night.

The incident, on Kutukutu Street at about 7.50pm, left three people in hospital with injuries the police said were 'consistent with stab wounds'.

In an update on Monday, the police said one person has been discharged, and the others are in a stable condition.

A 34-year-old man, arrested while fleeing the scene, was due to appear before Manukau District Court on Saturday.

He's facing three charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The police said he remains in custody and he is due to reappear in Papakura District Court on 13 March.

Earlier, the police said the altercation was between people known to each other.
