Prime Minister Christopher Luxon of New Zealand extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his re-election in the 2024 general elections during a recent telephone call.
Prime Minister Modi also posted on X (formerly twitter) and expressed his gratitude to PM Luxon for his continued support of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand. In turn, PM Luxon assured Modi of the security and well-being of the Indian community residing in New Zealand.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, emphasising shared democratic values and strong people-to-people connections, as stated by the Prime Minister's Office.
Additionally, the two Prime Ministers agreed to deepen cooperation in various sectors, including trade, pharmaceuticals, animal husbandry, space, and education.
