Person Of Indian Descent Dies In Ōwhata Crash

A person of Indian descent has died following a two-vehicle crash in Ōwhata, Rotorua, last night.
The crash occurred at the corner of Te Ngae Road and Tennyson Drive and was reported to authorities around 9.10pm on Friday.
Police confirmed one person died at the scene, while another person sustained serious injuries.
Sources in Rotorua have confirmed to The Indian Weekender that the deceased's family has been informed, and support is being arrangedby the Community members.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are requesting any dashcam or CCTV footage from the area. Anyone with information is urged to contact Police by calling 105.
