Auckland Transport has cancelled multiple train services across its network this afternoon due to hot weather.
On the social media platform X, it said that some train services from 1pm to 8pm on eastern, western and southern lines were cancelled.
This has sparked backlash from Auckland councillor Richard Hills who also took to X, saying "another day, another excuse".
He already voiced "serious concerns" about Kiwirail's performance for Auckland last week.
"Signal faults, crew issues, operational constraints & now heat? It was hotter last week?" he wrote. More details awaited.
