Indian Consulate In Auckland: List Of Services Offered

The Consulate General of India has commenced operations from a temporary location at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre, 145 New North Road, Eden Terrace, Auckland. The office officially opened on 5th September 2024, with the arrival of the Consul from India. Additional staff members have since joined, and the Consul General is expected to take charge soon.

At present, the following services are being provided by the Consulate:  

- Police Clearance Certificate (for foreign passport holders).  
- Police Clearance Certificate for traffic convictions/Taxi License/Passenger endorsement (for foreign passport holders).  
- Attestation of the affidavit, Declaration or Powers of Attorney.  
- Confirmation of Driving license particulars.  
- Application for re-issue of International Driving Permit (IDP).  
- Affidavit needed from parents when applying for a child’s Passport in India. 
- Life Certificates & Attestation of pension papers of pensioners.  
- NRI (Non-Resident Indian) Certificate.  
- Certificate required for transportation of body/ashes back to India.  
- Registration of death of an Indian national.  
- Attestation of Company/Trade documents.
- Attestation of Documents.  
- Liquor Permit.

For all other services, applicants are advised to continue sending their documents to the High Commission of India in Wellington. Once the Consulate becomes fully functional, it will offer the full range of consular services.  

This temporary initiative aims to improve accessibility for the Indian community in Auckland and surrounding areas.
