Ayodhya Ram Mandir Replica To Feature In New York's India Day Parade

In a first, a replica of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir will be showcased during the India Day parade in New York on August 18. This annual event, which attracts thousands of Indian Americans from the New York area, is the largest celebration of India's Independence Day outside of India.

New call-to-action

The replica, measuring 18 feet long, nine feet wide, and eight feet high, is being presented by the Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA). Amitabh Mittal, VHPA's general secretary, announced this milestone, marking the first display of the Ram Mandir replica in the United States.

The India Day Parade, organised by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), typically draws over 150,000 spectators. The parade route extends from East 38th Street to East 27th Street in Midtown Manhattan, featuring numerous floats that represent the diverse Indian American communities and cultures.

Adding to the excitement, VHPA-A recently conducted a Ram Mandir Rath Yatra, which visited 851 temples across 48 states over a span of 60 days. This event further underscores the community's dedication to celebrating and sharing their heritage.

The inclusion of the Ram Mandir replica is expected to be a significant highlight, attracting attention and admiration from the vibrant Indian American community and beyond.
