In the early hours of the morning, thieves executed a ram raid on a shop in Auckland, making off with stolen goods, police reported. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 am on Upland Rd, Remuera, The New Zealand Herald reported.
Initially, the small group attempted to gain entry on foot, police stated. When their efforts to break in failed, they used a vehicle to force entry into the store.
"Items were taken, and the group left in the vehicle," police said.
The abandoned vehicle was found nearby, and police are currently conducting inquiries to identify and locate the individuals involved in the raid.
