These students are pursuing diverse fields, such as medicine, technology, engineering, and law, with degrees ranging from PhDs, MBAs, and MDs. This reflects their varied interests in research and development, policy, entrepreneurship, and social impact.

This year, the scholarship has been awarded to 90 students from 30 countries who are pursuing 45 graduate programs across all seven schools at Stanford. Among them are students from Austria, Bahrain, Belarus, Bolivia, Bulgaria, France, and Sri Lanka.

Tina Seelig, the executive director of Knight-Hennessy Scholars, highlighted the diversity of perspectives brought by the scholars, emphasising their potential in addressing global challenges.

The Knight-Hennessy scholarship is a university-wide, fully endowed graduate fellowship that provides up to three years of financial aid for graduate studies at Stanford. Scholars are selected based on their independence of thought, purposeful leadership, and civic mindset.
