An exclusive presentation in Auckland on June 9, 2024, promises to offer an insider’s view on how to make it to top US universities, including Stanford and Ivy League institutions.

If you are a Year 9-13 student, head to Grand Millennium Hotel this Sunday for insider insights on taking a shot at a top US university education. Former Stanford Admissions Officer Martin Walsh will be addressing a session on ‘How Kiwi Students Can Get Accepted Into Stanford’.

The session starts at 10 am, click here to register for free. It’s been organised by Kiwi unicorn company Crimson Education, which helps high schoolers get into A-league universities like Harvard and Stanford in the US and Oxford and Cambridge in the UK. Celebrating its 10th anniversary Crimson Education is now one of the biggest university admissions consulting companies in the world.

Crimson has been a darling of the New Zealand startup scene since teenage co-founder Jamie Beaton launched the venture in 2013. It currently advises students worldwide aspiring to gain acceptance into top universities, including Ivy League schools in the USA.

The tutoring and university admissions service promises to give your child a fourfold greater chance of getting into top schools like Stanford. It was ranked number three in the 2017 Deloitte Fast 50 list–with 1005% annual growth–and featured on Forbes and the BBC

A Crimson official says the presentation this weekend will be a great opportunity for Kiwi students to learn the ropes of applying to Ivy League colleges and other top US universities. “The session will break down the process of enrolling into tertiary level education at elite schools like Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and beyond.”

Crimson’s Chief Operating Officer Arkesh Patel underscores the importance of studying at a top US college.  “Attending a prestigious university can significantly influence your career and personal growth opportunities,” says Arkesh, a Westlake Boys High School alum who went on to study at the University of Cambridge in the UK and pursued an MBA with distinction at Harvard Business School.

In New Zealand, Crimson students have significantly increased their chances of an acceptance letter. During the 2023/24 admissions cycle, Kiwi students working with Crimson received an array of offers from top-tier universities, says a company official.

“These included 13 Ivy League acceptances, with three students gaining entry to Harvard, 13 offers to the top 10 US universities, 26 to the top 20, 53 to the top 50, and 28 offers to the top 10 UK universities. Crimson’s New Zealand branch boasts an extraordinary 47 per cent acceptance rate to the Ivy League.”

“Globally, Crimson students received 262 Ivy League offers and 600 offers to the top 20 US schools. These are industry leading results and place Crimson as the world’s most successful admissions firm, which we are incredibly proud of.”

Crimson attributes its success to its team of talented academic professionals and network of former Admissions Officers who provide world-leading advice. Their expertise ensures that students and their families are well-prepared for the rigorous application processes of top US universities.

The Auckland event this weekend is sure to enlighten many who are weighing up their next move towards tertiary education and perhaps thinking outside the box of the traditional Kiwi pathway.
