Auckland is set to come alive with Splash Landing, a vibrant, family-friendly event hosted by the Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust and the Ōrākei Local Board. This two-day celebration, part of Moana Auckland – New Zealand’s Ocean Festival, promises a weekend of adventure, entertainment, and community spirit. 
Held at The Landing in Ōkahu Bay, the event offers an exciting mix of on-water and off-water activities designed to connect people with the ocean in a safe and enjoyable way. Families can try their hand at sailing, dragon boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, or take part in the raft race, all under expert guidance.

For those who prefer to stay dry, a range of activities will be on offer, featuring Barefooted, Kelly Tarltons, The Dust Palace, CLM The Bays, Drowning Prevention Auckland, East Skate, Revive Our Gulf, Chalk Walk, and more. The Tamariki Zone will keep younger visitors entertained with bouncy castles, water zorbs, face painting, and interactive fun.
Live music will set the perfect summer atmosphere, while a selection of food trucks and the Akarana Garden Bar will ensure no one goes hungry or thirsty. Coffee lovers will find their caffeine fix readily available to keep them energized throughout the day.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their togs and a towel to make the most of the summer festivities. Parking is limited, so public transport is recommended, with mobility parking available.
