The Rotorua community is gearing up for a spiritual musical evening like no other with the inaugural Bhajan and Kirtan Sammelan. Organised by the Hindu Elders Foundation Rotorua in collaboration with the Hindu Heritage Centre Rotorua, the event will take place on Friday, 6 December 2024, at the Hindu Heritage Centre, 225 Malfroy Road, Rotorua. The programme will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and entry is free.
This groundbreaking event will feature an exquisite mix of bhajans (devotional songs) and kirtans (sacred chants), showcasing India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage. Attendees can look forward to performances that blend traditional melodies with contemporary interpretations, providing a soulful journey through devotional music. The themes will honour Hindu deities and explore universal values like love, compassion, and gratitude.
President of the Hindu Elders Foundation Rotorua, Vijay Chand, expressed his enthusiasm:
