Police Recruitment Seminar For Indian Community In Rotorua

The Hindu Council of New Zealand, in partnership with the New Zealand Police, is hosting a special Police Recruitment Seminar in Rotorua, aimed at educating the Indian community and the public about career opportunities within the NZ Police. The event will be held on Tuesday, 15 October 2024, from 5:45 pm to 7:30 pm at the Hindu Heritage Centre, 225 Malfroy Road, Rotorua.

 

The seminar will include presentations from senior NZ Police officers and recruitment specialists, offering insights into the various roles, qualifications, and the application process for joining the police force. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session and receive guidance on application preparation.

Dr. Guna Magesan, President of the Hindu Council of New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration:

Senior Constable Lania Day, BOP NewCops Support, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of diversity within the police force:

"We are eager to connect with potential recruits from Rotorua and provide them with the information and support they need to consider a fulfilling career with the NZ Police. Diversity and inclusion are core values for us."

The seminar is free and open to anyone interested in a career with the NZ Police, whether you're considering a career change or just starting your professional journey.

The Hindu Heritage Centre in Rotorua is dedicated to preserving and promoting Hindu culture. The centre hosts regular classes in Rangoli, Mehndi, yoga, traditional music, and dance.
