Humm FM’s 48-Hour Radiothon Brings Christmas Cheer To Kids In Need
Humm FM has kicked off its annual Humm Christmas for Kids 48-Hour Radiothon, a heartfelt initiative aiming to bring joy to less fortunate children this holiday season. Running from midday Thursday, December 5th, to midday Saturday, December 7th, the event invites listeners to donate gifts and non-perishable food items for distribution through Auckland City Mission and Mitey, the Sir John Kirwan Foundation's programme.
For 48 hours straight, the Humm FM team pledges to stay on air, urging listeners to contribute and spreading holiday cheer. Donations can be dropped off anytime—even during the late-night hours—at Humm FM’s office at 17 Hargreaves Street, Auckland CBD.
The collected items will go to children in greatest need, ensuring they experience the magic of Christmas. Last year’s Radiothon collected over 29,000 toys and food items, and the team is determined to surpass that milestone this year.
Adding to the festive spirit, the station has launched special Radiothon t-shirts available for purchase at rovashop.nz, with proceeds supporting the cause.
Listeners can tune in to the live broadcast or visit the Humm FM office to contribute and see the excitement in person. Visitors are often invited on-air to share what Christmas means to them.
As Humm FM reaches the halfway mark of this year’s Radiothon, the MediaWorks pavilion is already filling up with donations, showcasing the incredible generosity of their listeners. With their unwavering dedication, the team is proving that the spirit of giving is alive and well in New Zealand.
Together, Humm FM, Auckland City Mission, and Mitey are working to ensure every child experiences the joy of Christmas. You can stream the Radiothon by clicking here.
