In a celebration of culture, community, and compassion, the upcoming event, ‘GarbaRolls’, promises to bring together people of all ages for a night of dance and fundraising. Scheduled for 5th October 2024 at the Rolleston Community Centre, the event will run from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm with a mission to raise funds for the Cancer Society.
GarbaRolls will showcase the vibrant tradition of Garba, a popular Indian folk dance. Originating from Gujarat, Garba is one of India's most cherished festivals, typically celebrated with family and friends. It offers a joyous opportunity for participants to dance in unison and celebrate together, and now, it's being hosted with a charitable twist for the benefit of the Cancer Society.
The event, which will feature free entry, is designed to be family-friendly, with attendees of all ages invited to join the festivities. It will be an alcohol and smoke-free event, with a strong emphasis on community well-being. To add to the festivities, there will be food stalls offering a range of delicious cuisine, along with raffle tickets available for purchase, adding an exciting chance to win while contributing to a great cause.
GarbaRolls promises to be a night of fun, tradition, and generosity, supporting a meaningful cause while creating memories for the Rolleston community.
