Christmas celebrated by the Chch Keralite community

Kerala Christchurch Forum hosted its annual Christmas and New year celebration on Saturday, 17 December, at the Riccarton High School.
Christchurch's sizeable Keralite community celebrates Christmas with great enthusiasm and joy. Traditionally, it is marked by attending special church services, singing carols, and exchanging gifts with friends and family.
The event began at 7 PM with approximately 250 people attending dressed in festive attire.
Organisers had lined up 12 different cultural performances, including traditional dance and musical performances that were enjoyed and applauded by the audience.
Santa took to the stage and invited all the kids on the stage. All the children received candy from Santa and had a great time.
The chief guest this year was Yogesh Bhargava from Team Yogesh Bhargava from Harcourts as our chief guest.

The event was scheduled to take place at the Middleton grange school but due the high number of ticket sale and considering the parking, it was moved to the Riccarton High school.
Two weeks prior to the event, the team visited and sang Christmas carols at more than 50 houses across Christchurch. There were also gifts distributed to kids along with our KCF Christmas card and calendars of 2023.
The celebration was put together by the energetic KCF team led by Binu Thomas, Syam Dev, Twinkle Antoney, Unni Krishnan, Anitha Chacko, Anoop Bhasi, Sree Dev, Tity Thomas and other volunteers.
