A memorable retreat for ladies

It was an event that was all about celebrating woman power. That is the best way to describe the Women’s Wellness Retreat organised by Midlife Madness. This Facebook group aims to empower women and focuses on holistic development and women's mental and emotional well-being.

Held on October 30 2022 (Sunday) at Naumi hotel in Mangere, the event was held by the women, of the women and for the women. It gave all attendees an opportunity to rejuvenate, relax and recharge.

Talking about the same, the founder of Midlife Madness, Ranjita Sandhu, told Indian Weekender, “ The event made sure that our lovely ladies could unwind and reconnect to their core self - the woman they truly are. The retreat helped them to slow down and get in touch with their intuition and inner self. It allowed them to thank and count on their blessings, develop that feeling of appreciation and gratitude.”

The well-attended event lined up experienced and professional speakers and coaches (including Ranjita, wellness coach Sushmita Basnet and Bollywood choreographer Gaurav Sonawane) who held meditation sessions, dance sessions and presentations to become women with beauty and brains.

“The sessions helped all women to remove all the barriers they normally face in their day-to-day lives. All women felt inspired and empowered after the event,” added Sandhu.

Indu Bajwa, a trustee of Midlife Madness, said: “We, women, play multiple roles as mother, wife, sister, teacher, friend, and so on. However, while juggling these roles, we must also look after our wellness. A woman plays a pivotal role in building a healthy family, which brings in a healthy community, and this event was all about that."

Sulekha Rani posted on social media, “It was a marvellous event. There was so much to learn, be it Bollywood dance, meditation or how to do quick makeup.”

Another guest, Irene Kiran Lohi, said," It was a day well spent. It was worth it. It was great to meet extraordinary Badass women. A special mention of the fantastic ambience and great food. Bollywood dance tutorial by Gaurav Sonawane was the best.”
