‘’Breathe for India ‘’ a pledge taken to help India in covid crisis
Indian Global Business Chambers organised a thanks giving dinner event in honour to appreciate the donors for "Breathe for India" - a fundraising campaign (held earlier last month) on Friday, June 25, at Okahu, Tamaki Drive
The trustees of the organisation Kanwaljit Bakshi a former member of the parliament along with many other community leaders including Ajay Bal, Vikram Nagpal, Ranjay Sikka, Rahul Verma and Radhe Nand were lauded for their efforts to help the country in such difficult times.
The event commenced with the opening speech of Mr Sikka by thanking the donors ’’because of which the event would not have been possible’’ Mr Sikka said.
The event was organised to supply 100 oxygen concentrators in addition , the organisation was also able to collect $50,000 more for the cause which was then tripled by the Vodafone reaching $150,000 specifically for covid relief.
Mr Nagpal expressed his gratitude towards UNICEF who has been working closely with the organisation helping the people of India during the crisis times.
A small video was presented by the organisation depicting the hardships faced by the people of India and how IGBC has been helping to ease the pain of the people.
A small quiz was organised to entertain guests and gifting the small baskets of sanitizers to the winners to promote healthy habits.
Lastly the event ended with a buffet dinner hosted by the organisation appreciating the donors generosity.
