Auckland Indian Association’s team excited to move into 2020-21
Auckland Indian Association Inc., one the oldest Indian Community organizations in New Zealand, supporting the growing Indian community in Auckland hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre on Sunday, July 19.
Over 100 donor members and observers participated in this AGM. President of AIA, Narendra Bhana commenced meeting by acknowledging extraordinary support of the Office Bearers throughout the year 2019-20.
The president then presented a detailed annual report for the previous year and informed members that 2019 was an excellent year for the Association and its volunteers. The Association has moved from strength to strength and achieved many milestones.
Treasurer Hershadbhai Jairam presented detailed financial reports for the Auckland Indian Association Inc and Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust for the fiscal year ended December 31 2019.
The Board Chairman Dhansukhbhai Lal presented a detailed report for the Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust. The Board Chairman expressed his sincere gratitude to the Trustees and volunteers for their invaluable support.
Dhansukhbhai thanked retiring Trustees Kanubhai Patel and Harshadbhai K Patel for their long-standing service to the Association and also welcomed two newly appointed Trustees Ashokbhai Darji and Rameshbhai Bhagwan to the Association.
The General Secretary and Sub-committee Chairpersons’ reports were tabled for donor members perusal.
