What Dabbawallas will get out of this. Must get some monetary benefits (royalties etc) from the benefactors of the studies.

I doubt if they will get any monetary benefits and I doubt that's the motivation for dabbawalas to allow a study being carried out on on them. I think they feel proud that they are achieving and setting a benchmark which most people can only dream of having. I bet they feel proud about their achievement and so they should, they've earnt it!
